Find Files Fast
I use windows explorer to quickly find my files. Quickest way to open it is to press the 'Windows Key', Letter 'E key' and hey presto!

Quickly Select Words and Lines
To select 'letter by letter': 'Left click' in front of the letter then hold down 'shift key' and press the 'arrow key' (usually located on the righthand side of the keypad under the shift key) in the direction you want to select. To select 'a word' point at it with your mouse so the cursor is positioned on the word and 'Double left click'.
To select 'a line', 'Left click' in the left margin, hold the button down and move the mouse above or below the line. To select more lines above or below just keep holding the button down and move the mouse up or down line by line.
To select 'the whole document'. Press and hold down the 'CTRL key' and 'A' at the same time. Remember once you have made your selection you can Right Click the mouse and a drop down menu will show options such as copy, paste, etc.

Copy from Anywhere to Anywhere
Visit a website, simply hold down your left mouse button at the beginning of your selection, drag it over whatever you want to select, and then release your left mouse button.
Then click your right mouse button and move the pointer up to copy. Then open a blank word document and right click and move your pointer up to paste. Then save this new document giving it a meaningful name.

Quick Screenshot
You know you can get a screenshot of what is on your screen by simply pressing the PRT SC key. Next open a blank Word document or email and press the CTRL key and the V key together to paste the image of the screenshot. Then you may have to spend time cropping to cut it down to the content you want.
If instead you press Control + Alt + the PRT SC key it snaps just to the window you're working on, not the entire screen. And just the window you are working in will appear when you paste it into a document.

Moving Files Quickly
You can quickly copy photos, podcasts, music, videos or any files to your phone, MP3 player, computer, hard disk drive. Simply open two Windows Explorer Windows.
For example open one representing your phone, and one representing your computer, so they display side by side on your screen. Then it is much easier to copy and paste whatever you want to move.
It can take several minutes to copy large files. While waiting you can carry on with other computer work such as reading emails, writing letters and surfing the net.
