Use Gmail Faster

Use Gmail Faster Gmail is the FREE email service provided by Google. Use Keyboard Shortcuts to save time working with GMAIL to send, receive and sort out emails. First ‘Enable’ shortcuts in Gmail. ‘Left Click’ on ‘Settings’ in the top right hand corner of your Gmail screen and then pick an option next to Keyboard shortcuts.

Here are some of the handiest keyboard shortcuts: # to Delete, R to Reply, O to Open, N for Next email, J for Next Conversation, P for Prior Email, K for Prior Conversation, Tab + Enter to Send

When your Skype is open you can type in messages to contacts as you wish and your contact can type in replies. You can have several conversations on the go at once. Nice way to keep in touch while using your computer without the cost of phoning or texting from your phone.

Quick Parts Saves Retyping

Quick Parts Saves RetypingThe ‘Quickparts’ command is found in the ‘Insert Tab’ in Word usually between the ‘Text Box’ and ‘Word Art’. Using it means you can save any text that you may write frequently.

To use it, highlight your chosen text. On the Insert menu, ‘Right Click’ on ‘Quick Parts’, and select ‘Save Selection to the Quickparts Gallery.’ Any time you want to use this or other text, simply put your mouse in the body of your text and select the ‘Insert tab’, and from ‘QuickParts’ select the item you want.

Sort Emails without Internet AccessSort Emails without Internet Access

Google’s Gmail allows you to read and sort out your emails and prepare email replies even when you have NO internet connection. ‘Left Click’ on ‘Settings’ in the top right hand corner of your Gmail screen and then select the ‘Offline’ info tab, which explains how to set this up.

Hide Excel Data Fast

Hide Excel Data FastTo hide pages in an Excel simply ‘Right Click’ the tab at the bottom of the spreadsheet page and select ‘hide’.

To make it appear again, right click on the tab at the bottom of any spreadsheet page and you select ‘unhide’.

To make multiple pages disappear, hold down the ‘ctrl’ key as you select your pages.

To ‘hide’ columns in your spreadsheet., select the column by placing your cursor in the ‘letter’ over the colum and hold down the ‘Left Key’ of the mouse. Drag your cursor over the columns you want to hide. Then ‘Right Click’ your mouse and from the drop down menu select ‘hide’.

To make these columns appear again simply select the column to the right and to the left of the hidden columns, and ‘Right Click’ your mouse and from the drop down menu select ‘unhide’
